Prices for beef are based on "hanging weight," which is the weight of the carcass just before it is carved into specific cuts. (Typical hanging weight range: 325-450lbs per half beef). Cut & wrap fees and sausage/smoking will be additional charges paid to the butcher. You can reserve your quarter, half, or whole beef with a simple deposit of $200 and pay the remaining balance at $5.50/lb for a half or quarter or $5.25/lb for a whole based on hanging weight, along with a harvest fee. We offer our beef by the cut at our retail booths in Redmond, Edmonds, and Woodinville, as well as by the quarter, half, or whole. Did you know grass fed beef has more healthy fats, less cholesterol, and is also higher in vitamins and nutrients than commercially raised beef? Our cattle are raised for approximately two years before they are butchered while most commercial beef is raised for only 18 months. This extra time and our top-notch genetics translates to grass fed beef, which is more flavorful and tender without the gamy taste. So for better health benefits, flavor and tenderness, you can't beat our grass fed beef. We don't use antibiotics our pastures are abundant in the necessary vitamins and nutrients for optimal health as they provide a smorgasbord of grasses and legumes. Our Angus X cattle are the "lawnmowers" of our farm. They are 100% grass fed from birth to butcher. The cattle are NEVER fed grain and they are moved rotationally through our NEVER sprayed pastures.
